Retina line scan camera grabs the image data one line at a time. It means that it doesn’t capture the image as a whole plane, but rather grabs it precisely line by line. These cameras have a single row of light- sensitive pixels, which constantly scan moving objects at a high line frequency.

Retina Line Scan Cameras are widely used for the applications like inspection of web materials, as in plastic or paper manufacturing, inspecting continuous “objects” such as road and rail inspection, or where high-quality images are required as in printing inspection.
